Signs & Zoning Enforcement
Signs & Zoning Enforcement
Signs, including commercial advertising signs, are governed by the Unified Development Code, section 4.9, 9.17 and 11.3. These regulations are designed to prevent visual clutter, obstructions, and hazards to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and to enhance the visual quality of the environment in both residential and nonresidential districts. All signs constructed, erected, relocated, expanded, or otherwise altered must have a sign permit. This permit must be renewed annually and is contingent upon the results of a annual inspection and payment of the renewal fee.
